Genomics on TV for High School |
March 16, 2008 - Durham Public School students & teachers are invited to apply to the "tranSCRIPT: Genomics on TV" program, offered by Duke's Institute for Genome Sciences & Policy (IGSP). The program, which will run on May 17th, helps high school students explore the science (and fiction) behind the plots of popular television shows. To learn more and to apply, click here. |
January 30, 2008 - Rochelle Schwartz-Bloom, Director of the Duke Center for Science Education recently appeared on YouTube. In her interview with the Duke News team, she shows a piece of her 3D animation created to show how drugs like nicotine, cocaine, and marijuana work in the brain.
